I’ve been working on LayerLane for a while, and I realized almost nobody actually knows how much I’ve built inside it.
So here’s a quick tour.
The first screenshot shows my projects. This is where I can see and manage the different things I’m building and the client projects connected to LayerLane.
The next screenshot is the marketing side, including the Meta integration. The goal is to manage ads and bring the campaign data into the same system instead of jumping between a bunch of different tools.
Then there’s Find Leads.
I can use it to research businesses that might be a good fit for what I do. In the screenshot, it generated three research candidates for me to review. If one looks promising, I can add it to my leads and continue working with it from there.
I’ve already started reaching out to some of the people I’ve found through this tool.
I haven’t had a ton of success with the outreach yet, but I’m still working on it. Honestly, building the software is the part that comes naturally to me. Figuring out the outreach, marketing, and sales side is a completely different challenge.
The next screenshots show the leads area and what it looks like when I open an individual account.
Every project and client I work with is connected inside my system. From my side, I can see their project, account, and where everything currently stands.
The final screenshot shows part of the client portal.
That’s where a client can review their project details, see the cost, understand what’s included, and see what they need to do next to activate their account.
There’s a lot more I want to do with the client side, but it isn’t polished enough for me to make that the focus of this post. I’ll probably break it down separately once I’ve worked on it more.
Right now, I’m also working a part-time job. That gives me some stable income while I continue building this and lets me start putting some money toward ads.
The Meta tools are already connected inside the LayerLane admin. Now I want to actually run campaigns through them, see what happens, and use the data to improve how I find and reach potential clients.
I’ll post another update once I have ads running and some real results to share. LayerLane has grown into a lot more than the way I’ve described it publicly in the past. It connects my projects, lead research, outreach, marketing, client accounts, and onboarding in one place.
It’s still a work in progress, and I’m still figuring out the business side of it. But I built it, I’m using it, and I’m done waiting until everything is perfect before I talk about it.
