The idea

Useful assistance starts
with usable context.

LayerLane connects business research, outreach preparation, and delivery records. I built the CRM as a shared workspace: somewhere a source, a decision, and the next piece of work can stay attached to the same business.

I work with OpenAI dots as collaborators. The software gives that work a durable place to live, with saved context and reviewable artifacts.

Observed.
Not assumed.

A useful prospect record needs more than a name and an email address.

The workflow records sources and verification dates, separates observations from hypotheses, and keeps business identity and contact context explicit. Research can support a conversation without pretending a suspected problem has been confirmed.

The handoff
should keep the story.

Saved briefs let a task start with the relevant business context. The same workspace keeps research evidence, the current next action, prepared drafts, scope, and recorded progress available for Gary and dot-assisted work.

Prepare with software.
Move with intention.

A message can be saved and reviewed against its recipient and supporting evidence. Changing the recipient or message resets that review. A next action is a deliberate choice, rather than an assumed follow-up.

Current prospect outreach is review-only. Preparing a draft does not send or schedule it.

Keep the context.
Carry the work forward.

Scope preparation connects the business need to deliverables, exclusions, dependencies, and acceptance checks. Existing project and deliverable records support the next stage of work; saved status stays distinct from verified completion.

  1. 01Define the scope
  2. 02Agree on acceptance
  3. 03Track deliverables
  4. 04Record the outcome

An honest checkpoint

Built to inspect.
Still being built.

Implemented
Sourced research, shared business records, saved drafts and reviews, next actions, scope preparation, and connected delivery records.
Current operation
Human-directed research and internal use. Prospect outreach remains review-only; customer conversion and revenue are not claimed here.
Next
Further operational testing and a future communication handoff that keeps recipient permission, human review, and recorded outcomes attached to the work.

What the work taught me

Useful tools keep context, decisions, and unfinished work understandable, so a person can choose what happens next.
